A Story to Tell
I’ve got a story to tell.
But not today. I’m still trying to wrap my brain around everything that happend. I want to tell the story well. Right now, the events that occurred are still swirling around in my water-logged mind. I should have the entire episode posted by Tuesday. In the meantime, I’m going to really, really enjoy the Independence Day weekend.
But I will tell you this:
My Garmin 705 is crushed.
My Canon S95 camera is dead.*
My phone is damaged, but working.
And worst of all…
My Superfly is mangled.
And no, this story doesn’t invovle a collision with a vehicle. No, I collided with my own stupidity. And a raging river.
*The data card survived!
One more thing. Before any of this happened, I enjoyed a beautiful ride to Silver Lake Flat in American Fork Canyon. A ride that was very nearly my last.

June 30, 2011I think you’ve just taken announcing what you’re going to do before actually doing it to a new level.
That said, glad to hear you’re OK. Sorry about all the equipment damage.

June 30, 2011If this involves cranes, winches, and subura outbacks then I’ll be back on Tuesday.

June 30, 2011I’ve been a Gary Fisher guy for a long time, but if I were you, I’d be taking a good long look at the new Stumpjumper S-Works 29er. Only $7500! Cheap!

June 30, 2011Holy crap, Adam … glad you’re okay. Sorry about the bike … hopefully, that wasn’t the bike you were planning on using at the Crusher, and if so, hope you’ll be able to get it replaced in time.
