Pioneer Yurt (More Photos)
I’m still digesting the 4 days that I spent in the Pioneer Mountains. Words are brewing, but slowly. In the meantime I am continuing to wade through the photos I snapped along the way. About 150 all together. And frankly, it was hard to take a bad shot given our surroundings. The Pioneer Range is a violent, rugged, craggy range that reaches beyond 12,000 feet at its highest point. We lingered in the shadows of the tallest, most dramatic peaks in the range—Hyndman, Cobb, and Old Hyndman. The week was a superlative experience in amazing country and with fantastic company. More to come in the next several days. But for now, more pictures.
