Zion and Zen
Sometimes nothing but the quiet and solitude of Zen can calm nerves and settle a rattled mind:

Zion and Zen
Sun, dirt, and far off horizons. A meditative state:

A view to think on.
Zion and Zen. With friends:

Coming…
Blackbrush. Slickrock. And wheels to follow:

…and going.
The winter desert, still colorful:

Meandering.
And warm. For now, at least:

Serpentine.
Small spaces:

Duck.
And speed:

Flow.
A lowland labyrinth of the physical and metaphysical:

Rock.
Exhaustion and elation. It had been far too long since any of us felt the heat and the sunshine. Tasted the dust. Or scraped pedals on the soft, flowing slickrock:

And Roll.

Technical.
White knuckles. Tired legs. Red, dirty grins:

Hold tight.

Don't crash.
A return to Zion and Zen cannot come soon enough:

Come again soon.

December 13, 2010Adam your pictures are so stunning! It is so fun to see them, because my eyes were glued to the trail the whole time. I didn’t get to look around and see all the beautiful colors. Thanks for stopping to take these! I hope you don’t mind if I put one on my blog? Quite the talent you have
