One thing I don't understand is since Levi is leading the race for team Radio Shack, shouldn't his teammates (including Lance) surround him to help set the pace, protect Levi, and do all work that the rest of the team is suppost to do like Lance had during his winning tours?

Lance's fall for me was when he was in the tabloids for making out with one of the Olsen twins in a bar.

He's only created the illusion of millions inspired to use as his curtain to hide behind. See Kimmage.

Great post Adam, I'm back. Was starting to think you're place was getting too pedestrian and was more pretty pictures than good posting.

I have to admit, I don't really understand the vitriol with which people speak of Lance sometimes. Is he a narcissist? As an athlete at the top of his game, naturally he is. He definitely has some warts and isn't warm and fuzzy with everyone. Maybe he is even a jerk. Maybe he even has some skeletons in his closet about past drug practices--Consider the era in which he rode though. I don't really have the energy to care much about who is taking what anyways.

At the end of the day, he has inspired hope for millions of people affected by cancer, and has established a very vocal and prominent non-profit to fight cancer. He has tremendous athletic talents (although a bit long in the tooth now) and it is fun to see people who have those talents use them. Maybe he used an F-word during a bike race that offended someone somewhere. He's human. No one has to like him. But he's done a lot of good for cycling (not just in the US) and cancer. I say "Go Lance" despite his warts.

I would get back on the Lance bandwagon if he would make a promise to never, ever allow Levi to <a href="http://velonews.competitor.com/2010/07/news/casey-b-gibson-photos-from-stage-9-of-the-2010-tour-de-france_128627/attachment/stage-9-2010-tour-de-france-10" rel="nofollow">ride with his jersey unzipped</a> again.
