That was classic. Years from now, we’ll be reminiscing about this year, and in our delusional state, we’ll remember it being one of our greatest race seasons ever (although we’ll have many top candidates to chose from).

I understand the delusional mindset. I feel the same way before starting long, epic rides. Like somehow, 8 hours later, I’ll be floating along merrily, without any pain or discomfort, just enjoying the scenery. I’m a little more realistic about the ICUP races; I knew Soldier Hollow would hurt. It always does.
