Red, Sand, Looming

The sun sits hidden
Awaiting a desert dawn
Red rock will reflect.
Sand is everywhere.
Towers of stone dwarf small men
Smiles commence, jaws drop.
Moab is looming.
Big skies, big climbs, big tires.
Don’t go over the bars.
